History of the Post Cards for Soldiers:

This journey began for me at the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in March,2007 and resulted in Volume 1 of Post Cards For Soldiers. While there I was fortunate to meet Cam Edwards and Ginny Simone of NRA News, two very patriotic Americans.  Cam and Ginny’s support for these Post Cards spurred me on and I am forever grateful.  Cam and Ginny, God Bless You and thank you for support and encouragement.  Your weekly evening radio show is the best and thanks for the air time!

While at the CPAC, I met Gregg Shore, Vice President of Ronald Reagan Republican Assembly of Central Florida.  Gregg and his organization sent my Son and the Soldiers three much appreciated care packages.  This mom thanks you for your kindness and goodness to my Son and the 82nd Airborne.  Gregg, one day I intend to shake the hand of every American Patriot in your organization.   I swear, I love each and every one of you!

To Chris Hill and Capt. Larry Bailey of the Gathering of Eagles, God Bless you noble and honorable Veterans!  The beloved Post Cards collected at your rallies in DC resulted in Volume 2 and 6 of Post Cards For Soldiers.  I cannot thank you both enough for all you are doing for my Son and all our Soldiers.  To Chris, thank you for collecting Post Cards and care packages for my Son and the 82nd.  Thank you for your piece "If Not Now, When?"  I believe you are a visionary and a man of great passion and purpose.  You sir, are a Warrior in the truest sense of the word.

The Post Cards in Volume 3 were the result of an invitation I received to attend the NRA in St. Louis on April 14th.  Thank you to Cam Edwards and Ginny Simone for the invitation! This convention consisted of 55,000 very patriotic Americans!  God Bless the NRA and all it’s members for their profound support of our Soldiers.  I learned at the NRA that our Soldiers have a lot of smart and highly trained “behind the scenes” experts assisting them in their missions.  To Ginny Simone, thank you!  It is only makes sense that you are the daughter of a Purple Heart Recipient.

We are up to Volume 13 of Post Cards For Soldiers!  I knew after Volume 1 that there would be many more Volumes. My thanks to Rose Park Elementary School for Volume 4, Oak Lawn Middle School for Volume 5, the Veterans and members of the Illinois Freedom Run for Volume 7, the Veterans and patrons of Butch McGuire's in Chicago (my biggest volume!!) for Volume 8, Gary Sinsise and Dennis Miller (thank you Dennis for one of the best hugs I ever received!) for Volume 9, and Sean Hannity, Col North, Lee Greenwood, LeAnn Rimes, Montgomery Gentry, Newt Gingrich and Rudy Guilianni for Volume 10!!!  Volume 11 is a Special Edition and was prompted by Post Cards I received from the Chris Hill and the beautiful Band of Brothers in Philadelphia.  This edition has a special place in my heart as it is this mother’s Special Tribute with Love to the Noble and Heroic Veterans of Vietnam.  Welcome Home and Thank You for Your Service!  The Post Cards in Volume 12 came from the proud and grateful Americans who gathered in Washington, DC for the Gathering of Eagles III Support our Troops Rally!  I am forever grateful for all the efforts of the members of GOE.  Their boots are always on the ground in support of our brave men and women.  The Band of Brothers, they are the most Noble Brotherhood on the face of this earth and may God watch over each and everyone of you!  The last Post Card Volume of the year is Volume 13 Post Card For Soldiers  USO Star Spangled Salute.  I find it fitting that the last Post Card For Soldiers Book of the year resulted from the USO Ball held at Navy Pier, Chicago, my Son’s hometown.  It was heartwarming to end the year with General Myers and Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band, who performed at the Ball.  I don’t think there is anyone who does more for our Soldiers worldwide than Gary and his Band.  Thank you for your continued support of our brave men and women.  My thanks to Lisa Moeller and the USO for the invitation and the opportunity to collect Post Cards of Support for our Heroes!  It is my hope that Lisa and the USO can raise funds by selling Volume 13 Post Cards For Soldiers Star Spangled Salute.   What a useful end of the year for Post Cards For Soldiers!

Thank you for making these volumes possible and for holding events which make it possible to collect these Post Cards of Support.  They are written testament of all the love and support our Soldiers have. As Tom DeLay wrote on his Post Card to Soldiers "Don't watch CNN" and why would they when they have the real story!

A very special thank you to Col. Oliver North and Tom DeLay, who autographed their best-selling books, War Stories and No Retreat No Surrender, to my Son.  Pepper Ailor, Program Officer for Col. North’s fine organization, Freedom Alliance, this mom sends you a big hug for the book and your interest and support of Post Cards For Soldiers.  I know your mom must be so proud of you.

Lastly, I must send a Big Thank You to the Canadian Company The Weisdorf Company.  They have donated so very many Post Cards to this effort.  So to Kay, Rick, and Mr. Weisdorf, God Bless You and thank you for your generosity and kindness!

In my quest for Support of our Soldiers, I have found that there are so very many American Patriots among us whose hearts are with our Soldiers.  I have also learned about the Band of Brothers and how they never stop serving each other and their country.  I want to say to ALL of YOU in the 10 Volumes of Post Cards For Soldiers:

Thank you with all my heart.  May God Bless Our Soldiers, God Bless America and God Bless Each and Everyone of You! You are all what makes America the greatest country in the world!
