I am
very proud to say that this event by The Band of Mothers, The
Gathering of Eagles and Free Republic, marks the one year
anniversary of our proud stand on the Cannon Bldg Corner in support
of our Heroes, our Brave Men and Women of the greatest military, the
United States Military! I am even more proud to say we stood
proudly these three days to acknowledge the victories and GREAT
accomplishments of our Soldiers in their fight against the butchers
who murdered our fellow Americans on September 11th,
2001. There is no doubt that we have been safe on this soil since
9/11 because of the bravery, fortitude, perseverance and dedication
of the fine men and women of our military.
Over
the course of these three days, I want all of our Soldiers, Sailors,
Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guard to know that they were the talk of
the town! We carried signs that read “Thank You United States
Military, Noble Heroes Everyone of Them”, and we, along with
Supportive Legislatures, held a beautiful big banner that read
“Thank You United States Military, For Saving The World!” We are so
Very Proud Of Our Military! We acknowledge the victories they have
achieved and we stood on the Cannon Bldg Corner to celebrate their
accomplishments. They deserve recognition and they deserve our
respect! This stand was the most successful yet and each time we
gather, more people come! As Chris Hill of The Gathering of Eagles
has said, as long as you keep fighting over there for all of us, we
will keep fighting over here for all of you!
Our
first day started with the Code Pink “hunger strike” man sitting on
our corner, waiting for us to arrive. When this stand for our
Soldiers first started one year ago, this moron was on a hunger
strike and he threatened that he would not eat until Pelosi and
company stopped this war!! Well…. this useless lump of human
annoyance continues on. Like Pelosi and all her grand promises to
change Washington, he too continues to disappoint us. He, like she,
is still around!!! He decided to move across the street, laptop,
boom box and all his equipment. He obviously has no job but yet he
has all this equipment, courtesy of George Soros and the liberals
who absolutely hate that America is winning this war! What a sorry
statement that is in itself.
The
celebration of our Soldiers’ victories truly began when Joe and Mary
showed up. Joe and his megaphone are the best darn thing that has
happened in DC in a long long time! He uses that megaphone to make
sure everyone in those offices in the Cannon Bldg (where Nancy
Pelosi supposedly works 3 days a week) know that our Brave Soldiers
are WINNING this War and they need to acknowledge their
accomplishments and thank them, every chance they get!!! As he
states, that is what every good American Patriot will do.
So
where does that leave Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, Murtha, and Obama???
What is there to say about Congressmen who do not acknowledge the
victories of our Soldiers? What is there to say about Congressmen
who are invested in the defeat of their own country? Well, like Joe
said, Senator McCain stated he would rather win a war than lose an
election!” You got it, like Joe said LOUDLY on his megaphone, Pelosi,
Obama and cronies, it appears, would rather lose a war and win an
election! Their choice is obvious folks, and it is disgusting and
a slap in the face of every Soldier who wears the uniform. It is a
slap in the face of every family whose brave Hero will never come
home! It is an indictment of their reckless betrayal of all of
us!
Joe
had a lot to say this time around, and like he says, Pelosi and
Obama write the material for him. Joe very LOUDLY let old Nancy
know that she should put that Big Jet she special ordered on EBAY,
like Sarah did. Madame Pelosi wasn’t happy with the small private
jet that comes with the Speaker’s job, no, Madame Pelosi was
aggravated that this little jet had to stop to refuel, so she
ordered a Big Fat 200 seat jet that could get her back to California
without stopping! Many, many legislators walked by and grinned with
glee as Joe informed everyone that Nancy’s Big Fat Jet costs us, the
hard working American tax payers, thousands of gallons of fuel every
week. Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet
gets fueled and she flies home to California, cost to the taxpayers
of about $60,000, one way!! As Joe put it, “Unfortunately we have
to pay to bring her back on Monday night, cost to us…another
$60,000. Folks, that is $480,000 per month and that is an annual
cost to the taxpayers of $5,760,000!!! No wonder she complains
about the cost of this war, it might cramp her style and she is
styling, on my back and yours! I think of the military families in
this country doing without and this woman, who heads up the most
do-nothing Congress in the history of this country, keeps fueling
that jet while doing nothing! As Joe so LOUDLY stated, Madame
Pelosi wants you and I to conserve our carbon footprint?! She wants
us to buy smaller cars and Obama wants us to get a bicycle pump and
air up our tires!!! These people are nuts! Obama wants us to elect
him to be the next Commander-in-Chief of our Brave and Noble
Military, but he won’t stand by them and he won’t acknowledge their
victories! He wants to bring the troops home yet our troops success
and victory in Iraq has encouraged 7 billion dollars in corporate
investment in Iraq!! And this man wants to be our President!
Common sense? This man, Barak Hussein Obama aka Barry Sotero, has no
sense! He is a danger to my grandchildren; he is a danger to us
all.
September 11th was an extremely memorable day on this
corner as we were honored with the presence of Gold Star Mother
Debbie Lee. This beautiful mother has never abandoned her Son’s
mission and she will never abandon His Brothers. Debbie has fought
so hard and spoken out so much for our Soldiers. We all know where
her Brave and Beloved Son got his strength and courage from. She is
a remarkable American Mother and we love her and are so proud to
know her.
We
all are so very thankful for the Congressmen who came out to the
corner and took pictures with us. Without your hard work, our
Soldiers would not have their funding and this mother, whose son
served 4 deployments since 9/11, cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH! You too
are our Heroes and we applaud your dedication and tenacity to Step
Up Stand Up and Stick Up For Our Soldiers. With all my heart, I
thank You! I cannot tell you the fear that beats in a mother’s
heart when her son needs bullets to defend himself from butchers and
a reckless bunch with a majority in Congress wants to deny him
that. Just know this, if she ever turns the lights out on you Great
American Patriots again, be sure to give this mother a call. My Son
didn’t get to be so tough all by himself!
To
all the Great Americans who came out and stood with us, thank you
with all my heart! Since we have jobs and George Soros doesn’t pay
our way, it is a costly trip but it is the very least we can do for
our Soldiers. We are making a difference and thanks to Joe, we will
be heard!
A
very special thank you to all our Heroes at Walter Reed and a big
hug to David, you are one tough Soldier. I think Nancy should put
that big jet on EBAY and give the proceeds to you Heroes at Walter
Reed who have given so much for all of us. Sadly however, I don’t
believe anyone who can spend that much money on her own comfort
level will ever understand the sacrifices of our Soldiers. SARAH
PALIN understands! She is a Blue Star Mother and I hope Chaplain
Gutting tells her about The Band of Mothers, The Gathering of Eagles
and Free Republic. She is going to need us down the road.
Walter Reed was presented a check by Beth, Carrie and family, of The
Gathering of Eagles, who raised money for our Heroes with a Poker
Run! God Bless You. Chaplain Gutting touched all our hearts with
his humble reminder to us how what we do here means so much to our
Soldiers so far away. Every American should visit our Heroes at
Walter Reed. There you will find Real American Heroes who deserve
the best care and the very best America has to give, for they have
given us their all.
Well, I am very happy to report, for three whole days there was
nothing but common sense spoken on the Cannon Bldg corner in DC
corner and it was heartwarming and refreshing! Joe suggested Madame
Pelosi fly commercial like the rest of us! He suggested we Drill
Here Drill Now, but when you are invested in foreign oil like Madame
Pelosi, that doesn’t make sense at all! He suggested Americans
shake the hand of every Soldier and thank them, every chance they
get, because it is their service and sacrifice that has kept us safe
in this country since 9/11. Common sense is what Joe talked about
and most of all, he LOUDLY spoke about RESPECT AND HONOR FOR OUR
BRAVE AND NOBLE MILITARY AND HE PROUDLY THANKED, OUR SOLDIERS,
SAILORS, AIRMEN, MARINES AND COAST GUARD, FOR THEIR SERVICE AND
SACRIFICE for all of us! He spoke about duty, honor and country,
the very great things that real Americans value and love.
It
is my hope that as we circulate the photos of our stand on the
corner, every American Soldier far away from home will see these
photos and know that we are so very grateful for their selfless
service and sacrifice. It is my hope that our Soldiers understand
that as long as they continue to rid the world of the butcher
terrorists who started this fight seven years ago in our beautiful
America, we will stand anywhere, anytime and with great pride, to
support and honor their service and sacrifice. We stand with you
and we stand behind you and we will continue to take on anyone here
in this country who tries to get in your way! You are the America
we know and love!
George Washington led his Soldiers through pure hell and hardship
but it was his love and devotion to them that I believe led us to
our status as the Greatest Nation on the face of this earth. Upon
the birth of this great nation he gave us these words of wisdom and
warning:
“The
willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any
war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how
they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and
appreciated by their nation.”
